Journal History

The Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal | USMYJ – scientific and practical peer-reviewed publication was first issued in 1993 by Bogomolets National Medical University, Kyiv, Ukraine as an initiative of a group of young scientists and students. The USMYJ is supported by both National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and National Medical Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The USMYJ is included in the list of scientific specialized editions of Ukraine, which can be published results of dissertations work.

The Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal included in international periodicals directory Ulrich’s Web Global Serials Directory, and is indexed in: CiteFactor, General Impact Factor, Google Scholar, Index Copernicus, Index Science, InfoBase Index, Open Academic Journals Index, ResearchBib, Scientific Indexing Services, WorldCat OCLC. The USMYJ represented at information resource “Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine” and at “Bibliometryka Ukrainian Science” system.

The USMYJ is designed for specialists of wide audience, scientists, students, highlighting the scientific achievements of young scientists in the field of theoretical, clinical and preventive medicine, and publishing of lectures and luminaries of medical science.

The USMYJ Editorial Policy based on the traditional principles of ethics in scientific periodicals and conducted on the basis of ethics of editors and publishers, recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). During the  publishing the editorial board of the journal follows by international rules of copyright protection, existing laws of Ukraine, international publishing standards. The decision to publish is taken by the editorial board on the basis of objective and independent review (see. Instructions). Editorial follows a policy of conflict of interests and a policy of  financial supporting.
